A fertility-supportive sweet treat

If you’re looking for a nourishing way to satisfy a sweet craving while also supporting your fertility, these Dark Chocolate & Raspberry Chia Jam Bites are the perfect little addition to your week.

They’re simple to make, naturally sweet, and packed with nutrients that support overall hormonal and reproductive health - without feeling like you’re “missing out”.

Why these ingredients support fertility

Raspberries are rich in antioxidants, particularly vitamin C and polyphenols, which help reduce oxidative stress in the body. Oxidative stress can negatively impact egg and sperm quality, so including antioxidant-rich foods regularly is an important part of a fertility-supportive diet.

Dark chocolate (ideally 70% cacao or higher) also provides powerful antioxidants, along with minerals such as magnesium and iron.

Chia seeds add fibre, omega-3 fatty acids, and plant-based protein. Fibre supports gut health and oestrogen metabolism, while omega-3s are anti-inflammatory and beneficial for reproductive health.

Together, these ingredients create a delicious snack that supports inflammation balance, cellular health, and stable energy - all key foundations when trying to conceive.

Dark Chocolate & Raspberry Chia Jam Bites

Ingredients

  • 300 g raspberries

  • 35 g (about 3 tbsp) chia seeds

  • 200 g dark chocolate

Method

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Place the raspberries into a medium bowl and mash well with a fork.

  3. Stir through the chia seeds until evenly combined.

  4. Using a tablespoon, scoop the mixture into small balls and place onto the prepared baking sheet.

  5. Transfer to the freezer and freeze for at least 8 hours or overnight, until completely firm.

  6. Once frozen, melt the dark chocolate gently in a saucepan over low heat or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each.

  7. Using two forks or a large spoon, coat each frozen raspberry bite in the melted chocolate and return to the baking sheet.

  8. Place back into the fridge or freezer for 10–15 minutes, until the chocolate has set.

Store in the fridge or freezer and enjoy as a nourishing sweet treat whenever the craving hits. ✨
